About Dr. Shaul Eger
Dr. Shaul Eger was born on 1946 in Israel and was raised on a farm located by the Carmel Mountain. Taking over the family farm, Dr. Eger continues to grow his olive orchards on his ancestral land. Dr. Eger has a Ph.D. specializing in nutrition and physiology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Together with Prof. Neeman of the Technion Institute Dr. Eger developed a unique technology for solidification of oils, which is water free, preservatives free, trans fatty acids free, solid and stable at room temperature and most important- preserves the natural composition and characteristics of the fatty acids and the micro ingredients of the oil.
About Dr. Eger Olive Oil Products
In 1999, Dr. Eger-Olive Oil Products Industry Ltd. was established in order to develop the technology of solidification of oils, into a portfolio of olive oil products. The first products were olive oil spreads that can substitute margarine, butter and shortening and supply balanced fatty acids to the diet. At the same time, the company developed a portfolio of skin care products based on this technology as well. In the same time, the company developed a portofilio of healty natural skin care products based on the technology.
